Harbour Air Hits the 5000 Mark

The first day of August was a special day for us and for one lucky passenger. On this day, we celebrated having flown 5000 passengers between our Langley terminal and Victoria’s inner harbour. In operation since November 2006, our service from Langley Regional Airport has been a resounding success.

To honour the people who have embraced our newest service, we Robert Germain, Harbour Air’s 5000th passenger on the
Langley-Victoria route, accepts his prize from Langley
Airport Base Manager Brian Grosse (Jack Cuthbert)
presented our 5000th passenger—a surprised Robert Germain—with a voucher for return airfare for two between Victoria and Langley.

Robert is a frequent traveller with Harbour Air and had this to say about our flights between Langley and Victoria: “The service to Victoria is fantastic! A number of people from our company use it as we have a construction site in Victoria. The flights are always on time and the staff are always so courteous. It certainly beats the ferry. We are in Abbotsford, so a 20-minute drive to Langley and a short 30-minute flight make it a fast connection to Victoria. The flight times are great for our schedule too. Please do not take it away!”

More flights this fall

The leaves are turning, the kids are flocking back to school and Harbour Air wants to help you get into the spirit of fall with more flights from Langley.

As of September 4, 2007 we are now offering up to four flights per day, Monday to Friday, in each direction on the Langley-Victoria route. For schedules, check www.harbourair.com

Long-term Plans for Langley

Harbour Air is proud to announce plans to establish a permanent home at Langley Regional Airport.

We have consistently met our goals since we began service between Langley and Victoria’s Inner Harbour last November. Having recently broke the 70 percent factor—meaning flights between Langley and Victoria are at least at 70 percent passenger capacity—we are confident that our service is meeting consumer needs.

A dedicated Harbour Air terminal is in the works. Our request for permanent space in Lot 40 as part of the new Northside Development at Langley has been approved. We are also considering the purchase of new aircraft and adding new destinations, including Nanaimo. Look here for future updates.

Supporting the community: Flying, fun and freebies

Abbotsford Airshow

Harbour Air achieved another milestone by participating in the Abbotsford International Airshow Static Display lineup on August 10-12, 2007. Our unique Amphibious Turbine Single Otter was on full display to the public and included cockpit and cabin tours.

To show our appreciation to the community for their support, we gave away a Victoria weekend getaway. The lucky winner was David Pollock. To find out more about this fabulous event, see www.abbotsfordairshow.com

The Langley Base air and ground crew look forward to continued service in the Fraser Valley.

Canada Day

As a Community Level Sponsor of Langley Canada Day Celebrations 2007, which drew upwards of 50,000 people, we gave a grand prize “Victoria getaway” to one lucky winner.
