Travel Island to Mainland in Record Time
Lost time is never found again.
~Benjamin Franklin
Everyone could use a few more hours in the day. Wherever we can, we try to pinch a few extra minutes to enjoy life, see friends and family and indulge our passions and interests. And when we travel, we want to get where we’re going quickly, without hassle.
As Vancouver Island residents are well aware, the trade-off for living in such an idyllic place is that travel to the Lower
Harbour Air’s Brian Grosse, Langley terminal managerMainland means more than just hopping in your car and driving. Many people have become accustomed to spending at least a few hours to make the trek by land and sea, which involves a combination of walking, public transit or driving and at least one and a half hours on a ferry. Add in the possibility of rush-hour traffic and other delays, and your door-to-door journey can clock in at three hours or more. For some, that’s wasted time and a recipe for frustration.
The Richmond area and the Fraser Valley are hotspots for a lot of regular Island travellers. Perhaps you make frequent visits to friends or family, come for meetings or to make a connection at Vancouver International Airport (YVR). Whether you are travelling for business or leisure, Harbour Air can help you get there quickly and economically. We have daily scheduled flights from the Island to our terminal in Richmond and our newest terminal in Langley. One-way fares range from $49 to $99, plus GST.
For the business traveller, the time saved by flying is invaluable. You can take a morning flight from Victoria or Nanaimo, attend a business meeting on the Mainland and be back on the Island for lunch. If you’re headed to YVR to catch a flight or to meet a friend or client, you can fly to our Richmond terminal in 20 to 30 minutes and take a shuttle bus to YVR for a total trip time of 50 minutes, tops. A flight from Nanaimo to Richmond takes 20 minutes and costs only $49. A 30-minute flight from Victoria to Richmond costs only $94 plus GST.
Travelling by seaplane between Victoria and Langley is equally advantageous. Langley is the epicentre of the Fraser Valley, close to the communities of Delta, Surrey, Walnut Grove, Aldergrove and Pitt Meadows. Flights take 30 minutes and the fare is only $99 one-way, plus GST. If you need a vehicle, Harbour Air has an arrangement with Budget Rent A Car for service at our Victoria and Langley terminals.
Remember, when you have no time to lose, use Harbour Air.
