Golden birch trees shimmer in the wind as we snake along the Fraser Canyon on Highway 1 just outside of Boston Bar, BC. It’s raining back in Vancouver, but we’re under clear sunny skies as we follow the Fraser River by dirt bike to Onion Lake near Lytton, BC. Turning toward the mountains, we watch as the thick forest of the Coast turns to the open dry alpine of the interior.
