Gareth Morgan readily admits it; like a lot of guys of his generation, he spent his early adult life at something of a loose end.

Call it the world’s biggest training facility, but you’re not likely to meet a Harbour Air captain who hasn’t done his or her time in the vast Canadian North.

“The joke is, if you get a degree in psychology, then you’ll be able to counsel yourself when you’re unemployed.”
